Listen to Obituary

Richard “Rick” Allen Youngkrantz, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on September 10, 1964, Rick was the beloved husband of Melissa Sue Youngkrantz. He was the cherished son of William Merrill Youngkrantz of Chicago, Illinois, and Carol Faye Youngkrantz (Gerstenschlager).

Rick was a devoted father to Ashley (Noah) Billmaier, Tyler (Tabi) Youngkrantz, Lindsey Schraeder, Dayna Hickey, and Jayme Hickey.

He was also a proud grandfather to Makena, Mason, Micah, Mila, Cole, Landon, Sullivan, and Ty. His grandchildren were among the greatest joys of his life.

He is survived by his siblings, Stephan (Teri) Youngkrantz, John (Sharon) Youngkrantz, and Stacy (Rich) Youngkrantz-Bricklin.

Rick dedicated his life to the carpet industry, a trade he began learning at just 12 years old. He took great pride in his work and built a career doing what he loved. Outside of work, Rick had a passion for riding his motorcycle and found freedom and peace on the open road. More than anything, he treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

He will be remembered for his big heart, his love of family, the pride he took in his work, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy of love, strength, and friendship will live on through all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
