Listen to Obituary

Renee (Uldrich) Lamont, age 72, died at her home in Centerville, Ohio on Tuesday June 2, 2026, after a long struggle with mental illness. She chose to end her life on her own terms, seeking dignity and peace, and did so with remarkable strength and profound love for those she left behind.

Renee was born July 14, 1953, in Vinton, Ohio, daughter of the late Buddy and Arlene Uldrich. She is survived by her children, Angela Pullano of Liberty Township, OH, Vincent (Nina Morris) Pullano of Cincinnati, OH and Nicholas (Carrie) Lamont of Xenia, OH; grandchildren, Mads McCarthy and Pearl Pullano; brothers and sisters in law, Ronald (Karen) Uldrich of Chapin, South Carolina, Gregory (Debbie) Uldrich of Davie, Florida, sister Lynne Uldrich of Sherman, Texas, sister-in-law Trudy Uldrich of Portsmouth, OH; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Uldrich.

Renee believed that every person has the power and the responsibility to grow, achieve, and uplift others. As a student she participated in Junior Achievement and Future Business Leaders of America, which shaped her commitment to education, mentorship, and expanding opportunities for women and disadvantaged persons. After building a successful career at the General Motors plant in Moraine, OH, she returned to Junior Achievement as an adult volunteer, offering guidance for the next generation.

She modeled dedication, resilience, self-improvement, and the courage to challenge expectations. Renee believed that anyone could improve their circumstances with motivation, education, support, and hard work. After retiring from GM, Renee remained a passionate life-long learner, an avid reader, art enthusiast, and continued giving back by supporting community organizations, particularly We Care Arts and The Dayton Foodbank. She enjoyed her book club and movie outings with friends, taking her beloved dog, Baby Doll, everywhere with her. Her family and friends greatly enjoyed her “great” dancing and “pitch-perfect” singing voice.

Renee was also a talented artist. She crafted items utilizing various materials, created collages, and explored a wide range of mediums, from watercolor and oil to ink – eventually becoming a Certified Zentangle Teacher. Art outlives the hands that make it, and now she will continue to live on through the pieces she leaves behind.

Per her wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and scatter her ashes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the following organizations:

We Care Arts
The Dayton Foodbank
Death With Dignity
