Rebecca Margaret Russell

Rebecca Margaret Russell, age 86, of Fairborn, Ohio, entered into the presence of her Savior on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

 She was born on April 27, 1940, in Chattaroy, West Virginia, to Earl Lee and Queenie (Justice) Robertson. Raised as the eldest daughter among nine children in a hardworking coal-mining family, Rebecca discovered her calling early in life. She was a natural caregiver, selflessly watching over her younger siblings, caring for her grandmother, and later pouring that same boundless devotion into her own family. 

On April 9, 1958, Rebecca married the love of her life, William Alan Russell Jr. Though she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, their legacy lives on through their five children: William Alan III (Paula), Veronica Lynn (Mark), Robert Jerome, Tonia Lee (Ted), and Melissa Ann (Kevin). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her heart.

 A faithful servant of God from a young age, Rebecca lived her faith openly through kindness, generosity, and quiet grace. Everyone who crossed her path was touched by her giving heart. 

She was the rock and foundation of the Russell family, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled. Yet, we take comfort in the promise of eternal life, knowing she is now at peace, joyfully reunited with her husband, her parents, her beloved siblings, and her Lord and King.

 Graveside service and internment will be at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn, Ohio.
