Rebecca S. "Becky" Fitch

March 4, 1950 — January 24, 2026

Listen to Obituary

Rebecca S. “Becky” Fitch, age 75, of Riverside, passed away January 24, 2026. Becky was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 4, 1950, to the late Gilbert Norris and Eleanor (Beavers) Norris.

Becky was preceded in death by her father and mother, as well as her sisters, Mary (Paul) Tatman, Paula (Mike) Keaton and Linda (John) Buckner.

She is survived by loving husband of 54 years, Richard “Rich” Fitch; sons Gilbert (Amelia) and Shaun (Tina) Fitch; grandsons, Alex and Tony (Sky); granddaughters, Gabriella and Chloe; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, pets, camping and crocheting.

Becky was kind, loving and funny. She put those she loved before herself. She believed in family first and was fiercely loyal.

Becky and Rich couldn’t wait to start a family of their own, and their children meant the world to them. There are a lot of enjoyable memories camping with their sons.

Becky’s favorite role was that of a grandparent. She treasured her time with their grandkids and loved being their grandparent. Her grandsons would call her Grandma and her granddaughters would call her Nana. Becky loved spending time with all her grandchildren when she could, either in person or virtual.

Becky was always there when you needed her. Both she and Rich worked in tandem as an inseparable team. They not only opened their home to other family members in need but provided a home for others from time to time. Their home was always filled with love and hosted the Super Bowl Party for many years. She enjoyed being a silent partner in an investment club as well.

Becky had a soft spot for their furry friends, treating each and every one like the valuable family member they were. Over a year ago Becky and Rich adopted two rescue dogs that were siblings (Sophie and Toby) that needed more medical attention and training than they thought, but Becky was undeterred and invested in them and loved them. This is a testament to her character.

Becky was passionate about everything that she did. She was a phenomenal human being. Becky was an active member of fundraising, devoting her time and energy to donating to worthy causes.
