Raymond "Ray" Terry

Raymond "Ray" Terry, age 87 of Vandalia, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 24, 2026. He was born September 17, 1939 in Ashland, Kentucky. The son of the late Herbert and Ruby Terry (Sergent).

Ray was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a passion for music and playing guitar. His hobbies included playing poker, treasure hunting at garage sales, and spending time with his family. Ray will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lois Terry; siblings, Arnold (Etta) Terry, Lillian Lare, Herbert (Christine) Terry, Claude Terry, Ralph (Bernice) Terry, and Jerry Terry.

He is survived by his daughter, Connie (Jim) Schreiber Jr.; grandsons, RJ (Jessica) Schreiber and Daniel (Santina) Schreiber; brother, Larry Terry; sister-in-law, Brenda Terry; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 9:30am -10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 10:30am with burial to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery.
