Ray A. Slone Sr.

Ray A. Slone Sr., born December 20, 1937, passed away on October 25, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Ray will be remembered as a man who built a life around the things he loved most. He owned his own business doing what he loved, customizing cars, and that work reflected both his skill and his passion. He customized old cars and loved antique cars, and his appreciation for craftsmanship and classic vehicles was a defining part of his life. He also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. Alongside these interests, he found great happiness in time spent traveling with his wife, Phyllis.

More than anything, Ray cherished his family. He loved his grandchildren and was amazed at being a great-grandpa, a joy that brought him deep pride and happiness.

He is survived by his son, Ray A. Slone Jr. and wife, Rhonda, and by his daughter, Christal Arway. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Alex Slone, Eric Slone, and TJ Arway, as well as his great-grandchild, Connor Slone. Ray is also survived by his brothers, Johnny Slone and Scott Slone, and by his sisters, Sue Martin and Mary Kay Franklin. He will be remembered with love by all who shared in his life and family circle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jean Slone; his father, Kermit Slone; his mother, Marrie Slone; his brothers, Keith “Rail” Slone and Edsel Slone; his sister, Linda Ward; and his nephews, James Robert Slone and Scotty Slone.

Ray’s memory lives on in the family he loved, the work he took pride in, and the many moments of joy he found with those closest to him.
