Randy (Sizemore) McDavid

Randy Sizemore McDavid, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on August 5, 2025. Born on October 27, 1923, in Great Falls, South Carolina, Randy lived a life defined by love, generosity, and unwavering strength.

Randy grew up in Eidson, Tennessee, where she graduated from Clinch High School. Randy then graduated from East Tennessee State College before moving to Dayton, Ohio, where she built a loving family with her beloved spouse, E. Kenneth McDavid. Together, they shared decades of devotion, raising three cherished children: Gail Kenyon, Kristi Briggs, and Lara Harrington. Randy’s nurturing spirit and boundless energy made her not only a wonderful mother, but a guiding light to her family and friends.

Randy took great pride and joy in her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who always held a special place in her heart. She was a constant source of support and wisdom, never missing an opportunity to share her experiences, stories, and love with those around her.

A centenarian, Randy lived through incredible times, experiencing a century of change, but her values of kindness and family never wavered. She was known for her strong faith, gentle demeanor, and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. Her warmth, humor, and love of life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
