Randall Shearer

Randall Shearer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at Grandview Hospital, at the age of 74. Born on December 17, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, Randall lived a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that he generously shared with his family and friends.

Randall's educational journey began at Park Hills High School, from which he graduated in 1969. He further honed his knowledge at Sinclair College, paving the way for a fulfilling career. After dedicating many years to Behr, he retired in 2011, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and camaraderie among his colleagues.

A man of countless passions, Randall was known for his fully outgoing nature and a heart that seemed boundless. He had a special gift for laughter; no matter the occasion, he could bring joy to anyone around him. His caring spirit was truly remarkable, as he would often give the shirt off his back to help those in need. Randall's soft heart made him a cherished figure and confidant in the lives of many.

Randall's most cherished accomplishments were undoubtedly his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He took immense pride in singing to his children and coaching Derrick in sports, imparting lessons of dedication and teamwork. Together with his wife, Peggy, whom he adored for 52 beautiful years, Randall spent countless cherished moments camping, hiking, fishing, and riding motorcycles, all while creating an incredible bond among family.

Randall was the proud father of three children: Kim VanMeter, Nikki (Adam) Adkins, and Derrick (Reyne) Shearer. As a grandfather, he delighted in his role, showering love on his grandchildren: Randall (Shawna) VanMeter, Bayli (Joe Kidd) VanMeter, Hailey Shearer, Alyxis Shearer, Logan Shearer, Desiree Adkins, Kaylyn Adkins and Avery Shearer along with his great-grandchildren Bentley, Brayden, Carter, Airabella, and Ainsley. His spirit will undoubtedly live on through them, each carrying fragments of his warmth and laughter.

He also leaves behind his sister, Norma (David) Toner, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Randall is preceded in death by his parents, Thelmer and Ollie Shearer, who undoubtedly welcomed him into eternal rest with open arms.

As we say farewell to Randall Shearer, we remember him not just for his accomplishments but for the indelible mark he left on every life he touched. His passion for family and friends, his laughter, and his willingness to share joy will resonate with all who knew him. The world will be dimmer without his radiant presence, but his spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of his loved ones.
