Randall Scott Greene, known affectionately to many as Randy, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2026. Born on February 5, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio, Randy’s life was marked by a profound love for his family and friends, a loyal heart, and a remarkably warm sense of humor that could brighten any room.
Randy was a man who cherished the simple joys and found comfort in his passions. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, he enjoyed cheering on his team with the same enthusiasm he brought to all aspects of his life. He had a particular fondness for mobster movies, finding fascination in their storytelling, and he was an avid lover of the outdoors, especially the mountainous beauty of Tennessee. Randy's interest in sneakers was well known among those close to him, a testament to his unique style and personality.
His greatest pride was his children, Austin Greene and Emma Richey (and her husband, Dylan). Randy’s commitment to them was evident in all he did; he was a protective presence who would go to any lengths for their happiness and well-being. Beyond his immediate family, Randy’s life was enriched by his close relationships with his niece, Daisy Barker, and nephew, Joey Barker. He was deeply cared for by his aunt, Bernice Powell, and cherished the bonds with his cousins Nicole Greene and Edward Greene, who shared much of his upbringing. His special friend, Sherry Ringler, also stood by his side, sharing in many meaningful moments.
Randy’s protective nature and loyalty extended beyond bloodlines, making him a steadfast friend and a genuinely loving person whose absence will be keenly felt by all who knew him. While his passing is a profound loss, his legacy lives on through the memories he created and the love he so generously gave.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Greene, and his grandparents, Robert and Grace Greene—who undoubtedly shaped the values and strength that guided Randy throughout his life.
Today, we remember Randall "Randy" Scott Greene not only for the fan, the sneakerhead, or the lover of the outdoors, but for the loving, loyal man who stood as a pillar of devotion to his family and friends. His spirit, humor, and protective heart remain with us, a lasting tribute to a life well lived.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
