Ralph Henry Holtvoigt Jr., age 83 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph and Rita Holtvoigt. He graduated from Chaminade High School in 1959. Ralph then served his country in the United States Army where he worked with Army Intelligence intercepting and translating transmissions from Soviet Russia. After returning home, Ralph earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Dayton in 1968 and was a member of the UD Alumni Flyers Club. He had a 25 year career as a buyer for National Cash Register (NCR). Ralph had a lifelong passion for sports and was a season ticket holder for University of Dayton Basketball. He was also a soccer coach for his daughters’ teams in Centerville, Ohio, a position he enjoyed for many years. Ralph cherished time with his family and he will be deeply missed.
Ralph is survived by his Daughters, Stephanie A. (Daniel) Baker, and Kristina M. (Michael) Hott; Granddaughter, Katie R. Rardon; and Grandson, Andrew M. Hott; He is also survived by numerous other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Diann M. Holtvoigt; Parents, Rita Holtvoigt, and Ralph Holtvoigt, Sr.; and Brother, Robert Holtvoigt.
