Rachel E. Thomas, age 91 of New Madison, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021. She was born December 6, 1929 in Blackwater, Virginia the daughter of the late Freeman and Parlee Bledsoe.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Thomas; son, Bobby Thomas and several siblings.
Rachel is survived by her son, Darrell (Sue) Thomas of Franklin, NC; grandchildren, Scott (Tammy) Thomas, Tori Thomas, Michelle (Charles) Lawson and Chris (Mallory) Thomas; step-grandchildren, Debbie (Jamie) Barrett and Jason Palmer; numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Carroll (Madge) Bledsoe; sister-in-law, Julie Bledsoe; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Rachel retired from New Lebanon Schools where she worked for over 30 years. She like to crotchet and enjoyed her house plants. Mostly she loved spending time with her family and cooking for them.
Private graveside service at Bearcreek Cemetery at a later date.
