Summerville, Rachel L., age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 15th, at Walnut Creek Nursing Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Phillip D. Summerville, her parents Dorothy and Estill Crass, and a sister, Louise McNutt, all of Wingo, KY.
Rachel is survived by her three daughters; Carol (Henry) Harner of Spring Valley, Ohio, Judy Schzure of Miami Township, OH, and Kim Estepp of Washington Township, OH. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Susan Belt of Columbus, OH, Cary (Traci) Harner of Wilmington, OH, Stephen (Jody Rutherford) Harner of Xenia, OH, Jeff (Diane) Rhonomus of Miamisburg, OH, Holly (Annie) Estepp of Dayton, Megan Estepp (Brandon Bright) of Dayton, OH; 5 great-grandchildren; Halie and Breckin Harner, Madaleine Estepp, Jayden and Tucker Estepp; one brother, Marvin Crass of Murray, KY, a sister in law, Laurine White of Sharon, TN and several nieces and nephews.
Rachel worked at GC Murphy Co. in Hills and Dales Shopping Center, NCR Data Processing and the LM Berry Company.
She loved to sew, quilt, crochet and making many other craft items. For a time she was active in the Southview Hospital Auxiliary Craft group. She was a member of the NCR Campers Club and enjoyed the thrill of camping and the recent get-togethers for breakfast. She was a member of Far Hills Baptist Church for over 50 years and currently a member of First Baptist of Miamisburg.
Visitation is Saturday, February 18th 2017 from 10-11 AM with the funeral service starting at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church in Miamisburg.
Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
