R. Steven Bernard

R. Steven Bernard, age 79, passed away on August 1st, 2024. 

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Rachel Bernard; sister Nancy Doty; and brother-in-law, Jerry (Barbara) Schmitz. 

Steven is survived by his wife, Peggy (Schmitz) Bernard; stepchildren, Amy (Ron) Brill of El Cajon California, Lisa (Mike) Stoof of Hilliard Ohio, and Kenny Garber of Kettering Ohio; grandchildren, Hannah (Andrew) McCann, Olivia, Emma, and Joshua Stoof, Isabella and Alexia Brill; sisters, Jan (Bill) Harding and Marjie (Don) Fogle; in-laws, Mary and Dick Brown, Barb and Clary Sech, Helen Schmitz and Kathy and John Hupman; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Steven graduated from The Ohio State University and was a member of AGR Fraternity. He was also very involved in The Special Wish Foundation. He retired from General Motors.
