Priscilla Kuykendoll

October 10, 1957 — January 2, 2024

Priscilla "Prissy" Kuykendoll, age 66, of Dayton, passed away January 2, 2024. She was born October 10, 1957 in Chicago, IL to the late Jessie B. and Lucille McGruder. In addition to her parents, Prissy was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert "Low Down" Kuykendoll; sisters: Verna McGruder, Martha McGruder and Angela McGruder; and brothers, Anthony McGruder and Stanley McGruder.

Prissy is survived by her children: Prentice McGruder, Quiana McGruder, J McGruder, Latasha McGruder, Verna McGruder and Luciana Kuykendoll; 20 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; 7 brothers and sisters; a host of other relatives and friends.

Prissy was one hell of a STRONG woman and a hero to her survivors. She was a force to be reckoned with. Prissy overcame her 18 year drug addiction to become that strong hero 27 years ago. She became a pillar of her community, speaking to the youth about drugs and mentoring others. Despite her previous lifestyle, Prissy was a strong believer in Christ. When she was stricken with cancer, she never complained and always kept her faith until her very last breath. Prissy overcame every obstacle thrown her way with grace. More than anything, she loved her children and grandchildren. She accepted the task the Lord had given her and she became at peace to go Home to be with her mother and sister, Verna.

Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton.
