Princess Rogers, a cherished and devoted member of her community, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on February 13, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, she lived a lite marked by unwavering dedication to her faith, family, and service to others.
A State Certified Nursing Assistant, Princess was honored to serve some of the most deserving members of society. Her career included significant roles at the Jewish Covenant Home and the Arizona Veterans Home, where she felt it a privilege to care for veterans. Additionally, she contributed her compassionate spirit to Goodwill Easter Seals of Miami Valley. Through her work, Princess exemplified kindness, humility, and an enduring commitment to helping others.
Those who knew Princess remember her as a kind, generous, loving, and humble individual - a truth teller devoted to her faith and family. She was playful in spirit, radiating joy through her love of singing and reading, always surrounded by music. Her enthusiasm for life extended into all she did, touching the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.
Princess's proudest accomplishment was co-hosting the life group "New U" at the Living Word Church, where she served faithfully alongside her fellow congregants. Her dedication to serving God, the church, her community, and her family was the cornerstone of her life's work and legacy.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Latasha (Ronnal) Cook, and her cherished grandchildren: Autumn, Madonice, Polite, Sheila, Champion, and Fortunate; great-grandchildren, Daniella and Elaina. Princess's siblings Nabagereke and Shari, along with thirteen half-siblings, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, carry forward her memory and the lessons of love and faith she imparted.
Princess was preceded in death by her loving parents, John and Charlotte, and her brother, John Jr.
Her presence remains deeply missed but forever treasured by all who experienced her warmth, devotion, and playful spirit. Princess Rogers's life stands as a beacon of service, faith, and generosity-a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
To honor Princess’s life and memory, you are invited to join the visitation on June 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed immediately by the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Both will be held at Living Word Church - Vandalia Campus, located at 926 E National Rd, Vandalia, Ohio, 45377.
