Phyllis M. Brown, born on December 7, 1931, in Covington, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, in Springboro, Ohio. A vibrant soul, Phyllis was known for her lively and loving spirit, which touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions. Over the years, she dedicated herself to her spiritual community, remaining actively involved in the First Baptist Church of Kettering and the First Baptist Church in Merritt Island, Florida.
Phyllis cherished time spent with her family, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. In her free time, she was fond of playing cards and had a passion for reading, often turning to her Bible as a source of inspiration and comfort. Her faith was important to her.
She is survived by her son, Henry (Lu Ann) Brown; daughter, Mary (Christopher) Cornyn; daughter-in-law, Rita Brown; grandchildren, Joshua (Ronda) Brown, Amy (Larry) Bush, Courtney (Cindy) Brown, Brandon (Whitney) Long, Lindsay (Mike) Janicke, Kellee (Jason) Karsner, Matt (Sierra) Cornyn, and LeeAnne (Andrew) Smith; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members and friends who held her dear.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry E. Brown, as well as her son, Michael Brown, and her parents, Homer Brown and Lillie (Dale) Brown.
Her legacy of love, faith, and dedication will live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
