Phyllis J. Elliott, age 79, passed away October 8, 2014 at her home in Huber Heights, OH. She is survived by her daughters Kim Adams of Buffalo Gap, TX, and Kathy Beadle of Beavercreek, OH; sisters June (Brumbaugh) Shuey of Huntsville, AL, and Marjorie (Brumbaugh) Helsley of Georgia; five grand-children, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was active in the Dayton community as a volunteer with Children's Hospital and with the Senior Citizens group of Huber Heights. She spent 19 years with the Dalton, GA Police Department before returning to Dayton in 2003.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children's Hospital of Dayton. An open-house celebration of Phyllis' life will be held at Aldersgate UMC, 5464 Troy Pike Rd., Dayton, on October 22 from 4-7pm.
