Philip M. DeiDolori, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born on November 9, 1939, in Springfield, Massachusetts, and devoted his life to both his family and community.
Philip’s professional journey began in sales, where he was known for his dedication and interpersonal skills. Upon retiring, he found great joy in serving as a school bus driver for Fairborn City Schools, touching the lives of countless children. His commitment to helping others was evident during his ten years as a volunteer at Ohio's Hospice. He also volunteered for several years with the Fairborn Senior Center, where he often helped drive people to various appointments or events.
Educated at Western New England College, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business, equipping him with knowledge that he carried throughout his life. Though his career was important to him, it was his role as a loving husband and father that defined his true legacy. Philip was a devoted partner to his beloved wife, Barbara DeiDolori, with whom he shared 35 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Philip took immense pride in being a father to his children: Maria DeiDolori (Scott) of Leominster, Massachusetts, Philip DeiDolori of Westfield, Massachusetts, Linda Scott (Michael) of San Antonio, Texas, Lisa Preston of Dayton, Ohio, and Sarah McLean (Bryan) of Fairborn, Ohio. He found boundless joy in being a "papa" to his grandchildren: Chris Johnson, Daejanna Preston, Anthony Wynn (Keturah), Chelsea Wynn, Bryanna McLean, Michael Scott, and Victoria Scott, and was blessed with 7 great-grandchildren who were the light of his life.
A man of faith, Philip loved the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairborn, where he contributed to the community and forged lasting friendships. Friends and family will remember him for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering compassion. His profound love for his family created a legacy that will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who knew him.
Philip is preceded in death by his parents, Felice DeiDolori and Antoinette Palladino, who guided him in his early years and instilled values that he carried throughout his life. As we remember Philip, let us celebrate a life richly lived and a heart that touched many. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
His final resting place will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Westfield, Massachusetts on July 28, 2025.
