Peter "Pete" Segi Jr.

Peter "Pete" J. Segi Jr., age 74 of Dayton, Ohio passed away February 7, 2026. He was born November 23, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio. Son of the late Peter and Carolyn (Zugelder) Segi Sr.

Pete graduated from Chaminade High School in 1970. After graduation he went on to earn his Associates Degree at Sinclair Community College. Pete was a passionate Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Dayton Flyers fan. He enjoyed attending all sporting events to watch family members. Pete retired from United Telemanagement Corporation (UTC) after numerous years of employment. Pete and his brothers were part of a bowling league since childhood. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his son, P.J Segi; in-laws, Richard and Patricia Wenclewicz; sister, Shirley (Dale) Strickland; brother, Bob Segi and infant brother Tommy Segi; sister-in-law, Patty Phillips; brothers-in-law, Larry Will and Mark Wenclewicz.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Stephanie Segi; son, Tommy Segi; siblings, Steve (Carol) Segi, Mike (Nancy) Segi, Bo (Mary) Segi, John (Tammi) Segi, and Julie Segi; sister-in-law, Kathie Segi; best friend and brother-in-law, Rick Wenclewicz; several cherished nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11am at St. Christopher Church, National Road, Vandalia, Ohio 45377.
