Peter Leslie Haigh, who devoted his life to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born on August 27, 1940 in London, England. His family immigrated to the United States in 1941 to support the U.S. war effort.
Peter was a man of intellect, discipline, and deep faith. He graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, an achievement that reflected both his ability and determination. He proudly served in the United States Army, offering his time and commitment in service to his country. Over the course of his working life, he held numerous jobs in New Jersey before eventually settling in Dayton, where he worked for NCR.
Beyond his professional life, Peter embraced adventure and competition as a speed boat racer. Those who knew him could appreciate both his energy and his willingness to pursue the things that interested him wholeheartedly. Above all, his faith remained central to his life and was his proudest and most enduring commitment.
Peter is survived by his wife, Jamie Haigh, and by his daughter, Deborah Elizabeth Meek. May their memories of him bring comfort and peace in the days ahead.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Baines Haigh, and his mother, Winifred Haigh Hutchins.
Peter Leslie Haigh will be remembered with respect, love, and gratitude for a life marked by faith, service, accomplishment, and devotion to family.
