Penny L. Fearn

Penny Lynne Fearn, age 83, of West Carrollton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026. She was born on July 16, 1942, to parents Andrew and Betty Lewis (Beatty) in Akron, OH.

Being a military child, she attended school in Hawaii, Japan, El Paso, TX, and received her high school diploma in Kentucky. Penny met her husband of 63 years, Roger, at a golf course in Fort Knox, KY. Penny worked in the cafeteria at Harry Russell Elementary, where her children attended school, as well as Woody’s Market, in West Carrollton, OH.

One of Penny’s greatest joys was helping others; she touched many lives through volunteer work at local churches and participating in TWIGS and Tri T. She was very creative and loved to paint. Penny loved her pet companions, Bundi and Daisy.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother that attended every sporting event, proudly cheering and waving her cowbell. Penny’s family is especially proud of her for beating Breast Cancer during the Covid Pandemic in 2020.

Penny will be remembered for her loving kindness and devotion to caring for her family and others. She is survived by her husband, Roger Fearn; children, Jeffrey Fearn and Boo (Peter) Fearn; grandchildren, Olivia Overmeyer (Sarah VanSickle), Tyler Fearn (Bri Henry), Haley Overmeyer, and Rhys Overmeyer; great-grandchildren, Elyse, Reed, Paige and Townes; and her brother, David Lewis. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Fearn; parents, Andrew and Betty Lewis and brother, T-Bone (Gary) Lewis.

A Celebration of Penny’s Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Jamaica Run Golf Club, 8781 Jamaica Rd in Germantown.
