Peggy Lynn Kidd-Amos, age 74 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 27, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert Amos and June & Don Wallen.
Peggy was a true social butterfly who loved nothing more than warm sunshine, sandy beaches, and the company of good friends. Her early years were filled with world travels, and her heart was always open to animals of all kinds. As a lifetime member of the Beavercreek Moose Lodge 73, she was a staple in her community. Above all, Peggy approached the world with effortless grace and style, famously never leaving the house without her signature mascara and lipstick.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Kidd Jr and her fur baby, Bella.
Peggy is survived by her two sisters, Regina Hughes and Kathleen (Shane) Preston; special friend, Anne Yearick; nieces and nephew, Lora Shuttleworth, Pamela (Marlen) Bourne and Dustin Salyers and many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Peggy's honor.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a memorial service at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
