Peggy L. Casey

Peggy L. Casey, age 79, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away August 1, 2026. She was born October 9, 1946 in Pikeville, KY to the late Clarence and Aldie Justice. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Casey; brother, Tim Justice; sister, Barbara Davis; and sister-in-law, Geneva Cool.

Peggy is survived by her children: Angie McKinney (Lenny), Johnny Casey (Amy) and James Casey (Staci); grandchildren: Justin Casey, Jeremy Casey (Kristina), Amanda McKinney, Evan McKinney and Grayson Casey; great-grandchildren: Audrey, Kaydence, Noah, Khloe, Julien, Jade, Brody and Nina; brother, Frank Justice (Priscilla); many nieces and nephews who are dear to her heart.

Peggy worked for and retired from Kroger Company after 25 years of service. She was also a Union steward there. She was a member of New Life Church, Springfield. Church was a huge part of Peggy's life and she longed to be in Heaven. Peggy loved her children and grandchildren more than anything and she cherished her time spent with them. She enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg, TN with her family and had a green thumb; she could turn a little plant into the most gorgeous one ever.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at New Life Church, 5435 W National Road, Springfield, Ohio, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
