Peggy Sharon (Palmer) Arnold, born July 20, 1947, in Winchester, Kentucky, and who passed away on April 13, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio, was a remarkable woman whose generous spirit and warm heart touched the lives of many. Those who knew Peggy were blessed to witness a life lived with kindness, joy, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures that made each day special.
For over thirty years, Peggy dedicated her career to the United States Postal Service, where she served as a manager with unwavering commitment. Her professionalism and dedication left a lasting impression on all who worked alongside her. Yet beyond her professional accomplishments, it was her personality—a very giving soul, always thinking of others—that shone brightest.
Peggy’s love extended to the countless animals she cherished throughout her life, most notably her beloved dogs, including her current faithful companion, Baby. She adored the beach, finding peace and delight in reading her favorite murder mystery novels against the soothing backdrop of the waves. A passionate thrifter, gardener, and lover of flowers, Peggy’s joys were deeply rooted in nature and the beauty it could bring into everyday life. She was truly a child at heart who revelled in the magic of little moments, especially anything that would give the warmth of light and color.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Victoria (David) George; her beloved grandson, Seth David George; her siblings, Charles Ray (Pam) Palmer and Susan Gayle Inwood; numerous nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of extended family members and friends who held her close. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Palmer, Jr. and Mary Margaret (Snowden) Palmer, who no doubt look on with pride.
A visitation to honor Peggy’s memory will be held on April 20, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, Ohio, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 p.m. These gatherings will provide all who loved Peggy the chance to share memories, find comfort in one another’s company, and celebrate the extraordinary life she led.
Peggy Sharon (Palmer) Arnold will be remembered as a woman who embraced life with an open heart and a kind smile, who valued connection, and found joy in the world’s gentle wonders. Her legacy of love and thoughtfulness will live on in the stories told by those who loved her and in the peaceful moments she so deeply treasured.
