Pearlie Yee-Fong Wong

Pearlie Wong was born on January 13th, 1941, and passed away at her home on December 21, 2024. Pearlie was a devoted wife, tireless mother, thoughtful grandmother, and treasured sibling and friend. She was born in Hong Kong, moved to the US, and raised a family in Stow, Ohio.

She lived her final years in Beavercreek, Ohio. Her faith in Jesus Christ was her guide. She could often be found at daily Mass and saying a prayer for a family member or friend in need. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking for her family. She knew all the kids' and grandkids' favorite dishes to cook and prepared them during family get-togethers. Gathering with family far and wide and sharing meals with everyone she knew brought her great joy. Later in life, she became a world traveler. She found many adventures from cruise ship excursions, even visiting all 7 continents. She was always willing to share a story and spend some time with you. She will be greatly missed, but we know she is in Heaven still praying for all of us.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Matthew, 3 children, Amy, Ivy, and Alan, 8 grandchildren, and 9 siblings: Daniel, Josephine, Eva, Sik Lam, Margaret, Benjamin, Raymond, Marina, and Sidney.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). 

The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 13th at 10:30am at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (1440 N. Fairfield Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Prior to Mass, at 10:00am the Rosary will be prayed in honor of Pearlie. Immediately following Mass, there will be a procession to Calvary Cemetery (1625 Calvary Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45409) where the Rite of Committal will take place.
