Pearlia "Jane" Wilkey, born on August 29, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on April 22, 2026, in her hometown of Dayton. A devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring matriarch, Pearlia’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and the warmth she extended to all who knew her.
Pearlia was born to Vollie and Rhenda (Warren) Casteel, who preceded her in death. She shared her life and love with her late husband, Burl “Buck” Wilkey, whose memory she cherished deeply. Pearlia also leaves behind a legacy shaped by close familial bonds, including her sister, Barbara June Flannery, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Flannery, both of whom have passed before her. Numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law also went before her, reflecting the expansive family that was so important to Pearlia.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Billy and Brian Wilkey, who carry forward her spirit and values; grandson, Joseph Broyles; niece and nephew, Lori and Jason Flannery; and many extended family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and strength.
Pearlia’s loving nature and steadfast devotion to family were hallmarks of her character. Through her sons, grandson, and the many loved ones who remain, her memory will continue to inspire and guide, leaving a lasting imprint on all who were fortunate to know her.
