Pearl Meadie Bonham, age 83 of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at her home. She was born May 11, 1934 in Jonesville, VA the daughter of the late Bradley and Myrtle Brewer.
In addition to her parents, Pearl is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Carson Bonham; brothers, John Brewer and Richard Brewer, and sister, Thelma "Grace" Pendleton.
She is survived by her sons, Gary (Melanie) Bonham, Haburn Bonham; daughter, Wanda Reed; brother, David "Carl" (Elaine) Brewer; grandchildren, Melissa Bonham Myers, Michael Bonham, Timothy Kelly, Nicole Kelly, Shyla Reed; great-grandchildren, Nolan Myers and Sophia Myers as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Pearl enjoyed a humble childhood as she learned to overcome her hearing loss. She was introduced to her husband at a young age they shared a disability. The two proudly raised 3 children who experience a life full of sound and appreciating the silence their parents lived in. Pearl loved to read and keep up on current events. She also was somewhat of a history buff and loved to re-tell all she learned to all that would listen. Her memories were always vivid and filled with enthusiasm as she would recall those special times with family and friends through signing.
Family will receive guest from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Friday, April 13, 2018 at Newcomer South Chapel, Kettering. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Bellbrook Cemetery, Bellbrook, OH.
