Paul Gakuru

Paul Gakuru, age 39, passed away on February 18, 2024. He was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he was a teacher. He immigrated to the United States in 2016.

Paul enjoyed singing and was the Choir Master at St. Benedict the Moore Catholic Church. His community was important to him, and he was always helping others and volunteering. He will be greatly missed by everyone he knew.

Left to remember Paul are his 7 children; his 3 brothers; his 2 sisters; 10 nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church, 519 Liscum Drive, in Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00am led by Father Francis Tandoh, C.C.Sp. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at West Memory Gardens.
