Paul Edward Nickell, Sr.

Nickell, Paul Edward Sr., age 85, of West Carrollton, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Paul was born January 6, 1929 in Wolfe County, Kentucky to the late Ed & Clairandy (Wilson) Nickell.
Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Betty I. (Bradley) Nickell and 5 siblings. He is survived by his son: Paul Nickell Jr.; daughter and son-in-law: Deborah (Jerry) VanZant; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. Paul worked for NCR for 31 years and retired from Montgomery County with over 10 years of service.
He was a member of the Shiloh Sportsman Club and attended both Far Hills Community Church and Miamisburg Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Miami Shores Baptist Church, 4000 Vance Road, Moraine, Ohio. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
