Patty Jo Hord, age 77 of Xenia, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 15, 2020. She was born February, 3, 1943 in Hutchinson, Kansas daughter of the late Clifford and Juanita Lawson.
Patty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed collecting snowman, cross stitch, sewing, playing piano, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed the adventure of being a military wife and seeing different parts of the world and meeting new people. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Hord; and brother, Bobby Lawson.
Patty is survived by her children, Michael Hord, Danette (Eric Mann) Hord, and Rusty (Kim Thomas) Hord; grandchildren, Jessica Mann Garrett, Elijah Mann, Emilie (Brian) Mayer, and Zackarie Mann; great grandchildren, Jonathon Garrett, Clayton Mann, Alyvia Mann, and Annastasia Mayer; brother, Tommy (Helen) Lawson; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Graveside service will begin at 12:30 pm at Byron Cemetery (3256 Trebein Road, Fairborn, Ohio 45324).
Memorial Contributions can be made in Patty's honor to the American Cancer Society.
