In loving memory of Patrick A. Woolard, who left this world on December 31, 2025, in his beloved Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 71. Born on June 28, 1954, Pat was a vibrant spirit whose presence radiated warmth, humor, and an undeniable passion for life.
Pat’s journey began in Dayton, where he grew into an outgoing individual known for his dry sense of humor and playful wit. A cherished graduate of Kiser High School, Class of 1974, Pat built a rich tapestry of experiences that resonated through his professional endeavors. He worked for many years as a Chef at the Golden Nugget, where his culinary talents delighted many, and later lent his diligence to Auto Zone. Through every job, his dedication and personable nature left a lasting impression on those lucky enough to know him.
A huge fan of the Cleveland Browns, Pat proudly connected with the community as a member of the Browns Backers of Greater Dayton. Sundays were sacred, filled not just with football, but with laughter, camaraderie, and anticipation. Pat also found joy in the simple pleasures of life—a game of bowling, the wag of a dog's tail, and the competitive spirit shared with his wife in their fantasy football leagues. He was a devoted family man, cherishing every moment spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving children: Michelle Neff (Danny), Jennifer Daniel (Damon), Tim Boyd (Caetey), and Amber Rodgers; as well as his adoring grandchildren: Wyatt Brady (Ash), Elizabeth Smith (Tyler), Nicole Stringer (Donnie), Wesley Stringer (Jasllyn), Eric Woolard, Adalena Boyd, and Bentley Smith. His two sisters, Peggy Armstrong (Mark) and Penny Roberson, will forever remember his quick comebacks and the joy he brought into their lives. Pat also leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends whose lives he touched with his lively spirit.
The absence of his wife, Shiela Woolard, and his parents, Robert and Ruth Woolard, is a solemn reminder of the love and connection that continues to permeate through all who remember him.
Pat’s legacy of affection, laughter, and loyalty lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM, all taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. Following services, there will be a continued gathering at Engage City Church, 5310 Packard Drive, Huber Heights.
As we remember Pat, let us carry forward his vivacity, his playful spirit, and his profound devotion to family and friends. He may have departed from this earthly realm, but his laughter, love, and remarkable zest for life remain eternally alive in our hearts.
