Patrick Tuffey
June 11, 1942 — August 25, 2016
Patrick James Tuffey, age 74 of Beavercreek, lost his long battle with cancer on Thursday, August 25, 2016. He was born June 11, 1942 in Albany, New York, the son of the late James and Rita Tuffey and proud member of the Air Force Academy, Class of 1964.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Kevin L. Tuffey and Sean R. Tuffey.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 51 years, Clare Tuffey; two sons, Patrick (Patricia) and Michael (Melissa) Tuffey; two daughters, Katie Sullivan and Bridget (Josh) Hobbs; four sisters, Mary Ellen Wojtusik, Kathy McGuire, Nancy Hiller, and Eileen Coleman; two brothers, Kevin and James Tuffey; grandchildren, Megan, Vanessa, Francesca, Nicholas, Ragan, Kelsey, Lily, Kaleb, Colton, Lucia, Collette, and Abby; great grandchildren, William, Austin, and Laith, as well as numerous family and friends.
Patrick was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and fought his cancer to the very end.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent dePaul.
