Patrick E. Jones, lovingly known as Pat, passed away peacefully on April 29 leaving behind a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Pat is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife Sandy (McKenzie) Jones, Mother Ruth E. Davis, and Father Lyle E. Davis, brother Gregory L. Jones, and sister Sharon L. Donavan.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted brothers Michael D. Jones and Douglas S. Jones, and his caring sisters Kelly E. (Davis) Beckley and Sandra L. (Davis) Donaldson. He is also survived by his adoring nieces Erin T. (Jones) Gargas, Kirsten A. Jones, Heather D. (Donaldson) Hunter, and nephew Jason B. Donaldson, who held a special place in his heart.
Pat's passion for music was unmatched, as he skillfully played the bass and acoustic guitar while enchanting his audience with his soulful vocals. Countless hours were spent entertaining his family with his favorite tunes, with Jim Croce's "Roller Derby Queen" holding a special significance among them. Pat was also a fantastic dancer and enjoyed dancing the night away at local festivals and venues.
A true fisherman, Pat found solace and joy in the serene waters of Dale Hollow Lake, often accompanied by his dear brother Gregg. Their shared love for fishing forged unbreakable bonds and created cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Pat's most significant accomplishment was his commitment to sobriety. Over the course of 38 years, he served as a beacon of inspiration to countless individuals on their own journeys towards recovery.
Described by his mother as someone who "will never know a stranger," Pat's warm and welcoming nature endeared him to all who crossed his path. If you were fortunate enough to meet Pat, you gained a friend for life.
A memorial service honoring Pat's life will be held by the family at his favorite fishing spot on the tranquil banks of the Miami River in Miamisburg. Further details will be provided soon.
