Patricia "Patti" Beam

Patricia "Patti" Beam, a cherished soul and beloved matriarch, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family in Jamestown, Ohio. Born on June 12, 1950, in Frenchburg, Kentucky, Patti's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her deep love for God and those around her.

Graduating from Lemon Monroe High School in the Class of 1968, Patti then dedicated over 30 years of her life to Cedarville University, where she served as an Assistant Manager for Pioneer Foods in the cafeteria. Her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on the students and staff alike, reflecting her true child of God demeanor and the heart of gold that defined her.

Patti's love story began in the most beautiful way—she met her beloved husband, William Lowell Beam, while he was driving the church bus for her children's summer camp. Their union blossomed into a partnership that lasted 45 years, through which they created a loving home filled with laughter, joy, and unwavering support. Together, they raised her two wonderful children, Mike and Wayne, who brought her immense pride and joy.

Patti's family extended beyond her immediate children. She was a devoted stepmother to seven step-children: Sherrill, Chris, Tim, Amy, Tonya, Teresa, and Gary. With 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, her legacy of love continues to flourish through the lives she touched.

Beyond her family, Patti found joy in life's simple pleasures—quilt-making, bluegill fishing, gardening, and canning a variety of produce from her garden. An animal lover at heart, she cared for any critter in need, though her golden retrievers held a special place in her heart.

Patti is survived by her adored husband, children, step-children, father, Donald McNabb, two sisters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her spirit of love and devotion. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elva McNabb.

Patti will be remembered not just for her myriad talents and unwavering dedication to her family, but also for the light she brought into the lives of everyone she encountered. As we honor her memory, may we carry forward her legacy of kindness, faith, and the importance of family.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, beginning at 12:00pm, at the Pavilion at Shawnee Park, 591 S. Park Dr., Xenia, OH 45385.
