Patricia Ann Hall, affectionately known as Patty, was born on January 14, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, and she embarked on her journey into eternal life peacefully on January 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Patty’s sweet and kind demeanor, paired with her great sense of humor and strong Christian faith, truly made her a beacon of warmth and comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Throughout her life, Patty was renowned for being a wonderful cook and hostess, always ensuring that her family home was a haven of warmth and welcome. She possessed an enduring love for animals, which served as a continuous source of joy and contentment for her. Whenever she enjoyed birdwatching, her enthusiasm for nature shone brightly, reflecting her strong belief in the preservation of trees and her passionate activism for many local causes. Her patriotism was fierce, matching her deep love for her community and her country.
Patty’s most considerable pride and joy came from her family, especially her beloved son, Todd VanHorn. Her legacy lives on through him and the many cherished moments they shared, which will forever be etched in their hearts. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Rebecca Hall and Dr. Teresa Hall Rudisill, along with Dr. John Rudisill, as well as her niece, Jen Scurlock, and nephews Chad (Laura) Scurlock and Jeremy Scurlock as well as her beloved fur baby Gracie.
Patty is predeceased by her loving parents, Lenvil Hall and Florella Hall. The love and laughter she brought into the world will be sorely missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those she touched.
Patty will be laid to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery in her hometown of Trotwood, Ohio in a private ceremony. As we remember Patty, we will share stories and laughter, knowing that her remarkable spirit will always remain with us. Her sisters will miss her earthly presence.
