It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia "Trish" Caplinger, who left this world on August 27, 2024, in Huber Heights, Ohio. Born in Chillicothe, Tennessee, on September 10, 1953, Trish lived a life steeped in love, laughter, and relentless joy, as she touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Trish worked a significant part of her career to esteemed employers such as Sam's Club, K-Mart, and Merry Maids, where her warmth and infectious spirit made her a cherished presence. Her colleagues and customers alike benefited from her sunny disposition combined with a profound work ethic, a testament to her commitment and passion in every endeavor.
Trish's greatest joy was found within her family, and she relished the treasured moments spent celebrating holidays, her eyes sparkling with delight as she presented gifts to loved ones. These memories live on, echoing the laughter and warmth that she brought into every home she visited. Known for her joyful personality, Trish loved to laugh, to embrace nature, and to nurture her garden, where she found peace and beauty. She adorned her home with magnificent decorations each Christmas, filling her loved ones with holiday cheer. Additionally, she had an unparalleled affection for babies and children, a reflection of her nurturing spirit.
Among her many interests, Trish found great pleasure in restoring her beloved 1965 Chevy Nova Super Sport, affectionately dubbed "Queenie." This passion encapsulated her zest for life and her appreciation for the beauty of craftsmanship, much like the relationships she cultivated throughout her life.
Trish is remembered fondly for her proudest accomplishment: her devoted marriage to her husband, Joe Caplinger Sr., for an incredible 51 years. Together, they built a legacy of love that has flourished within their family, exemplifying the enduring bond between them.
Her cherished legacy continues through her surviving family: her husband, Joe Caplinger Sr.; her children, Joe Caplinger Jr. (Robyn), Scott Caplinger (Suzanne), John Caplinger (Priscilla), Christy Crumley (Matt), and Chris Caplinger (Nicole); her grandchildren, Katie, Jackson, Madison, Christian, Michael, Alexis, Justin, Addison, Carson, Hudson, Adia, Kole, Alivia, and Savanna; her great-grandchildren, Abigail, Audrey, and Amelia; and her siblings, Jack, Dannea, Reba, John, Joyce, and Jeff; along with her sister-in-law, Sandy (Ed), brother-in-law, Gary (Mary), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who were profoundly touched by her light.
Trish was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Patty, as well as her siblings, Jim, Mikey, Vickie, and Becky. The absence of her joyful spirit will be felt deeply, yet her legacy of love and laughter will remain a guiding influence in the lives of those she has left behind.
