Patricia Anne Behnken, a devoted and cherished soul, departed this earthly realm on July 27, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on December 16, 1946, Patricia's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, boundless love, and an indomitable spirit, which she shared generously with those fortunate enough to cross her path.
With a remarkable career spanning over fifty years in the field of accounting, Patricia exemplified diligence and professionalism. Her academic pursuits culminated in the attainment of two associate degrees and graduating Magna Cum Laude from Sinclair University, in Business Association and Accounting, reflecting her commitment to both her craft and personal development.
Patricia was not only a dedicated professional, but also a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Renee, and favorite son-in-law, Michael Malone Jr.; her treasured grandchildren, Jessica Malone, Joshua & Stephanie Malone, and Bethany & Sabrina Malone; as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Jace Shell, Isabella Malone, and Luca Malone. Additionally, Patricia leaves behind her cherished sisters, Susan & Darrell Lloyd, Judith & Les Vance, and Sarah "Sally" Walton, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a circle of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Her spirit was anchored in her faith, exemplified by her long-standing commitment to the First Pentecostal Church of Murlin Heights, and more recently, the Spaulding Road Church of God. Through her role as a Sunday School teacher for forty years and her nursing home ministry for two decades, she touched countless lives, imparting the teachings of Jesus with grace and compassion. Her motto, "People are more important than things," guided her actions and reflected her profound understanding of life's true essence.
Patricia was also a gifted author, having published several works regarding her faith, God, and poetry through her own publishing company, Morning Joy Publishing. Her words have inspired many, leaving a lasting legacy that resonates with the core values she embodied - love, kindness, and the celebration of faith.
As we honor Patricia's memory, we remember a woman whose very existence was devoted to uplifting others. Her generous spirit and loving nature will forever illuminate the hearts of all she touched, reminding us that the essence of life is found in the bonds we forge and the love we extend. She will be missed deeply and remembered fondly.
