Born on June 16, 1925 to Ruth and John Lloyd in Hickory, North Carolina. She ascended into her Heavenly Father's arms on March 21, 2012.
Parrie Gordon was the oldest of one sibling brother, John Lloyd, Jr. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruth and John Lloyd; youngest son, Larry Steven Ellis; and late husband Alfonso Gordon.
She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her legacy, one loving and devoted daughter: Sandra Elaine Ellis–Smith; one son Ronald (Rochelle) Ellis both of Dayton, Oh.; five grandchildren, Donna Ellis of Dayton, Ohio, Roselyn Ellis of Atlanta, Georgia, Rhonda Robinson of Huber Heights, Oh, Devone and Dionne Burney of Dayton, Oh; fifteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; aunts, cousins, special friends, Teresa J. Fitts- Ardley of Dayton, Oh., and Rosie Lee Ball of Cleveland, Oh., and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at West Memory Gardens.
