Pamela Sue Roark, affectionately known for her humor, caring nature, and unwavering support, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, in West Chester, Ohio. Born on August 6, 1960, in Pompano Beach, Florida, Pamela embraced life with a strength that inspired those around her. She dedicated twenty years of service as a weight master for Martin Marietta Materials, showcasing her commitment to hard work and professionalism.
Pamela graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1976, a testament to her dedication to education and personal growth. She experienced great joy in her hobbies, whether it was camping and boating with her beloved family, traveling with her husband Kenny, or enjoying cozy nights filled with romance novels and scripture from her Bible. Pamela took every opportunity to gather her family for dinners, where laughter filled the air and her love resonated within the walls of their home.
Married to her soulmate Kenny for an incredible 49 years, Pamela treasured the deep bond they shared. Together, they raised two sons, Jeffrey Roark and Joseph Roark as well as daughter Angel Kirby, nurturing a close-knit family that revolved around love, laughter, and support. Pamela was immensely proud of her grandchildren, Logan Kirby, Hannah (Justin) Drake, Paige, Kailee, Hailey "JoJo," Jeffrey, Jade, Alex, and Trystan. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and her great-granddaughter, Averie, brought her immeasurable joy.
She was the loving sister to Tommy (Sherri) Mays and Danny (Joyce) Mays, who cherished the memories of their adventures together. Pamela is also welcomed into the arms of her departed family: her beloved daughter, Angel Marie Kirby; her parents, Paul and Patricia Mays; and her siblings, Jimmy Mays and Larry Mays, along with her sister Penny (Mark) Wheatley.
Pamela’s legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her ability to uplift others with her strong spirit and caring nature created a lasting impact on family and friends alike. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but the love she shared will continue to resonate through the generations to come.
Visitation will be held on August 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman who embodied love, resilience, and grace.
