Pamela Joy Effler

Pamela Joy Effler, lovingly known as Pam, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2026. She was born on April 14, 1958, in Dayton.

Pam will be remembered as a loving, kind, caring, and generous woman whose greatest joy was found in the people she loved most. She loved her grandchildren deeply, and among all the blessings of her life, her family—especially her grandchildren—stood as her proudest accomplishment. The warmth she gave so freely and the steady care she showed to others will remain a lasting part of her memory.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Effler, and his wife, Misty; her daughter, Ashley Effler, and Cory Ashley; her grandchildren, Dylan Effler, Makaylah Espensen, Mason Ashley, and Madison Ashley; and her brother, Paul Stevenson. In the lives of her family, Pam’s love will continue to be felt in quiet moments, treasured memories, and the enduring bond she helped shape.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Effler; her mother, Lucille Stevenson; her father, Bill Stevenson; and her sisters, Ella and Debbie. Their memories remained part of her life, and she now rests with those who went before her.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Dayton Memorial Park, 8135 N Dixie Dr, Dayton, OH 45414.

Pamela Joy Effler will be remembered for the gentleness of her spirit, the generosity of her heart, and the love she poured into her family. Her memory will be carried forward with affection and gratitude by all who knew and loved her.
