Pamela Jean Detamore, lovingly known as "Pam," was born on July 20, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio. She passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2025 at the age of 72. Pam's journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to her family, a distinguished career in nursing, and an unwavering dedication to helping others.
For 35 years, Pam worked as a Registered Nurse, specializing in psychiatric care. Her professionalism, combined with her innate kindness, made her a beloved figure among her colleagues and patients alike. As the first in her family to attend college, she received an Associate Degree which served as a stepping stone to a fulfilling career in health care.
Pam was admired not just for her professional achievements but also for her warm and generous personality. Known for her loving nature, she was open and always willing to offer help and advice to others, embracing the role of caregiver both in her professional life and at home. . Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, making her a beloved figure among her family and friends.
Beyond her nursing career, Pam found joy in various hobbies and interests. She enjoyed cooking and baking, taking great pride in making all of the family wedding cakes, a testament to her culinary skills and love for family traditions. Her passion for nurturing extended to gardening, where she found delight in growing plants. Additionally, she had a creative spirit that shone through her crafting endeavors and cherished moments spent with her children and grandchildren.
Pam is survived by her children, Mathias (Alex) Detamore and Jessica (Jeff) Moffitt; daughter-in-law, Andrea Detamore; and grandchildren, Caleb, Katelyn, Jacob, Quentin, Kyndrik, and Luciana. She is also survived by her sister, Karen Prater, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Pam was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard Detamore; son, Thomas Detamore; and her parents, Ramon and Anne Pickle. Her legacy of love, support, and caring will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she has touched throughout her life. Her legacy of compassion, love, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
