Otho Leroy Karns

Otho Leroy Karns, loving husband, father and grandfather, age 75 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020. He was born July 23, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Marvin and Ruth Karns.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Karns; son, Marvin Karns; grandson, Christopher Walker; and brother, Wilbur Karns.

Otho is survived by daughters, Tina (John) Becker, Kathy Thacker; grandchildren, Brittany, Monica (James), Jessica Walker, Dustin (Jessica), Christina (Dan), Aaron, Travis and Christian; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Dean (Teresa) Karns and Gwen (Ken) Seely; as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.

Otho loved fishing, riding his Harley and riding on golf carts. He also had many collections, including knives, canes, fishing poles, clocks and much more. He was a kind-hearted man who would give the shirt off his back to help a friend or stranger.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 12 pm to 1 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with his wife.
