October 15, 1941 — February 9, 2024

Ora Carolyn Farley passed away February 9th at the age of 82 in the care of Stone Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation center of Dayton, Ohio. Her family was there along with an amazing staff by her side.

She was born October 15, 1941 to William "Stanley" and Thelma Shepherd in the state of Kentucky.
Carol was a devoted Christian, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was a published author, a traveler, artist, horse owner, and rider.

Her biggest joys in life were being around her family and friends, reading the bible, and learning something new every day.

She is survived by her grandson William Shepherd, his wife Tara, and their three children Abby, Spencer, and Opal Grace, her two sisters Martha "Jane" Taylor, Bettsy Samuels, brother-in-law Robert Samuels, Niece Deborah Blasik, Nephews John Taylor, Bob, and Mike Ziegerler, Grand Niece Kimberly Blasik, Grand Nephew Brian Blasik, and Cousin Bill Seigars and family.

She is processed in death by her father William Stanley Shepherd, mother Thelma L. Shepherd, sister Patricia Ziegeler, brother Guy-Pierre Wilk, sons William "Billy" Alan Shepherd, James "Jimmy" Alan Farley, and Grandson James "Kyle" Farley.

Carol will be forever remembered by her friends and family as someone who tried to walk like Jesus Christ, and never turn a blind eye to someone in need.
