Ollie Lee Hester

HESTER, Ollie Lee, age 80, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Mr. Hester was born on October 23, 1930 in Troy, Ohio, to the late Joseph Lee Hester and Alice Lucinda (Queen) Hester.

He is also preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Ella Mae (Morris) Hester, who passed away on October 3, 1990 and sister, Minnie Hester Gooslby, who passed away on November 25, 1989. Mr. Hester leaves behind two sons, Joseph Lee Hester and Robert William Hester; two grandsons, Joseph Lee Hester II and Ronnie Lee Hester, all of Xenia, Ohio; granddaughter, Ashley Marie Hubbell, of Blanchester, Ohio; four great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Chase, Benjamin, and Aleigha, all of Xenia, Ohio, and sister, Joe Ann Johnson, of Spicewood, Texas.

Mr. Hester was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 43 years and retired in January of 1993. Mr. Hester was an avid bowler who bowled in many leagues in and around Xenia. He was a life long resident of Ohio and was a Mason, who also served in the U. S. Navy from March 1948 to February 1950.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road., Beavercreek. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the funeral home.
