Ollie Belve Jarrells passed away on December 25, 2017 at the age of ninety. He was born on May 15, 1927 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky to Charlie and Laurie (Adkins) Jarrells who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his first two wives, Lillie M. Jarrells and Emma Jean Jarrells, as well as his brother Bobby Jarrells and his sister Glenna Adkins. He is survived by his wife, Faye Jarrells; his children, Mike (Mary) Jarrells of Xenia, Greg (Sheila) Jarrells of Beavercreek, Chris Jarrells of Dayton and Tonya Snyder of Dayton; two stepchildren, Kim (Gary) Carroll of Sandy Hook, KY and Morris Blair of Huntington, WV; a brother, Bill (Shirley) Jarrells of Chicago, Ill; three sisters, Francis (Russell) Lewis of Sandy Hook, KY, Ruth (Ronald) Gibson of Grayson, KY and Aythel (Dickie) Brown of Olive Hill, KY; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Ollie was a proud WWII era veteran of the US Army Air Force and a retired civil servant. He was an avid sports fan and long time competitive table tennis player. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.
Memorial contributions are requested in Ollie's name to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45420, to whom the family will be forever indebted for the care provided and the kindness shown him and his entire family.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
