Norman Brassfield, age 93 of Dayton, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 15, 1932 in Gatliff, Kentucky the son of the late Mitchell and Mossie Brassfield.
In his younger years, Norman was an avid bowler. He dedicated over 30 years to Dayton Walther as a Machinist. Norman enjoyed collecting coins, pocket knives and eagle memorabilia. If you knew him, you know he always had a pouch of Redman near. He loved working in his yard and being outside. Most of all, he was passionate about his family and spending time with them.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Clara Mae Brassfield; son, Norman "Junior" N. Brassfield; and grandsons, Norman Dimitrouleas and Christopher Jones.
Norman is survived by his children, LaVerne Brassfield, Patricia Jones, Jonnie Brassfield and Brenda (Charles "Bubba" Walters) Alexander; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, December 29, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 with a Service at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Norman will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens following the service.
