WEBBER, Norma Jean (Sloan), 59, of Dayton, OH passed away Sunday May 1, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton after a long, courageous fight with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Betty Sloan. Survivors include step-daughter, Wendy Adkins; step-son, Scott Webber; sisters, Kathleen Noland and Sandra Sloan; brother, Gary Sloan; step-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Taylor, Jacob, Jaryth, and Siobhan; and tons of loving family and friends. Norma graduated from Stebbins High School, Class of 1970. She married and raised her husband's two children. Naneen (as she was known to family) worked for Key Bank for over 20 years, first as a part-time teller, then to Private Banking where she happily solved client banking problems. For a few years she also worked at "Stop & Rob" as a cashier, entertaining customers and decorating their bags with handmade-register-tape-bows. Norma made everything fun. She was known for her bubbly personality and infectious laugh. Norma loved her family, country music, and crafts in that order. And Tom Selleck. She was the best listener and was one of the most generous people you would ever meet. She is deeply loved and will be missed every day by her family.
Visitation is Saturday May 7, 2011 from 2pm to 4pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH. Funeral service is at 4pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted at Key Bank for the Norma Webber Memorial Fund to help pay for her long hospital stay and final expenses.
