Norma Lynn Burton, born on July 15, 1951, passed away on September 12, 2026.
Norma will be remembered as a deeply caring woman whose life was marked by devotion to others, both at home and in her work. After raising her two sons, she proudly went back to school and obtained her nursing degree. She spent 30 years as a nurse, serving in many different areas of the hospital. Her work ranged from post-surgical care to critical care, including time in the ICU, and reflected the compassion and care she brought to those around her.
Beyond her profession, Norma was devoted to her family and found joy in caring for them in countless ways. She loved to cook and was known as an amazing cook. Though reserved and quiet in manner, she was a very loving mother whose warmth was felt clearly by those closest to her. She also loved to travel, especially to the beach, where she found happiness and peace.
She is survived by her son, Allan Burton and his wife Dana Burton; her very special friend and daughter-in-law Kimberly Burton; by her sister, Donna McFarland; by her brother, Darrell Begley; and by her niece, Amy McFarland. She will be remembered with love by her former husband Donald Burton. Norma was preceded in death by her son Andrew Burton; her parents Dana and Douglas Begley; and her brothers Dennis Begley, and Danny Begley.
She will be remembered with love by her family and by all who were touched by her kindness, her gentle presence, and her lifelong care for others.
