Nora Bell Rutherford, age 84 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born December 6, 1933 in Blackwater, Virginia, the daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth Cole.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert Cecil Rutherford, a Korean War veteran; maternal grandmother, Florence Lawson; sister, Gloria Hounshell.
Nora is survived by her son, Robert C. (Deborah) Rutherford Jr.; daughters, Victoria (Gary) Saylor, Sandra Rutherford; grandchildren, Douglas Saylor, Joshua Rutherford; great grandchildren, Damon and Kami Rutherford; brothers, Grady (Gladys) Cole, Elzia Cole; sister, Ruthie (Beryl) Greer; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Nora was a loving, caring mother and sister who loved her family, and was proud of her beautiful flower gardens, which gave her great joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
