Nikolai Henry Coach

Our precious son, Nikolai Henry Coach, was born into Heaven on August 25, 2026, at just 19 weeks.

From the moment we knew Nikolai was ours, he was deeply loved. He was our son, our little boy, and Campbelle Mae’s beloved baby brother. We had already begun dreaming of the life we would share with him, never imagining how quickly we would be asked to let him go.

At just 18 weeks, we faced complications that threatened to take Nikolai from us far too soon. We were faced with the heartbreaking decision to deliver him early, but we chose to fight for more time with our son. We chose to carry him for as long as the Lord would allow, placing his life in God’s hands and trusting Him with every heartbeat. For seven precious days, Nikolai fought alongside us from the safety of my womb.

His doctor told us that Nikolai fought longer than any baby he had ever seen in a situation like his. Those seven days were filled with hope, tears, prayers, and an unwavering belief that God could give us the miracle we were asking for. We prayed to bring our beautiful boy home. We prayed for healing. We prayed for more time. And through it all, we held onto our faith, even when the answer we hoped for was not the one God ultimately gave us.

Though the Lord called Nikolai home, we trust that His ways are greater than ours and that He holds a purpose we cannot yet understand. We may never know why our time with our son was so short, but we find comfort knowing that Nikolai is now completely healed, free from pain, and resting in the arms of Jesus. God knew him before we ever did, loved him before we ever held him, and welcomed him home when his time on earth was complete.

Our hearts ache for all the moments we will never get to share with him—for watching him grow, hearing his laugh, holding him in our arms, and watching Campbelle Mae love and protect her baby brother. Yet, even in our grief, we are grateful. Grateful that God chose us to be Nikolai’s parents. Grateful for every heartbeat, every day, and every moment we were given with him. And grateful that his short life has left an everlasting mark on our family.

Nikolai, our precious son, your life may have been short, but your impact will last forever. You were loved before we ever held you, and now you are living in the presence of Jesus for all eternity. We will carry you in our hearts until the day we meet again in Heaven.

Until then, our sweet boy, rest in the arms of Jesus. We love you forever.
